The Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV) is designed to repair and recover damaged tanks on the battlefield.
The vehicle has two winches and a hydraulic crane capable of lifting and carrying a complete Challenger 2 power pack. CRARRV is also fitted with a 7.62mm General Purpose Machine Gun as well as smoke dischargers.
CRARRV has successfully supported the Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank on British Army operations in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq.
